In part 1 we addressed the obstacles of African Americans following graduation. Join us for part 2 of our "Black In AmeriKa" series for a discussion of long term financial health in the black community and the financial challenges of black entrepreneurs.

10:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Sickle Cell Disease affects 80,000 people in the United States. 98% of those individuals are African Americans. Sickle Cell patients often require frequent blood transfusions throughout their lives. In honor of Sickle Cell Awareness Month join us in collaboration with the BloodCenter of Wisconsin as we collect donations that will help sustain individuals living with this disease.
To donate blood, you must:
-Be in good health
-Weigh at least 110 lbs.
-Have a photo I.D.
-At least 17 years old; no upper age limit
All donors should feel in good health on the day of donation. Please be prepared to share your list of prescription medications, discuss your medical history and travel outside of the United States.
We encourage you to make an appointment to donate at:www.bcw.edu/kappa
